About This Site

We thought it’d be a nice gesture to explain how our site was created and how it works.
Our site was created and maintained by our graphic artist. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to email us at art@clssp.com. The following information was inspired by the colophon @ nancies.org, and modified for our purposes.

Hardware: This site was creating using Apple computers - mainly a G4 iMac and Intel Mac Pro. It was tested on various Mac and Windows machines.

Applications: CLS uses the Adobe Creative Suite for our graphics applications. The site was designed with GoLive CS2. Graphics were created and edited using Photoshop and Illustrator CS2.

Utilities: Files were uploaded using one of two methods: 1) GoLive’s built-in FTP application, and 2) Firefox’s FireFTP plugin.

Web Browser: The site’s rendering was tested in the most recent versions of popular browsers - Firefox 2, Internet Explorer 7, Safari, Opera 9, and Netscape 8. We strongly suggest using the most recent version of your favorite browser. If this site does not render correctly, you are most likely using an out-dated browser. There is usually no expense when upgrading your browser, if you use one of the previously mentioned browsers. If you’re curious, we are big fans of Firefox. (note: Mac users using Safari will need to be using the latest version of OSX to assure they have the latest version of Safari).

Server: Our web server belongs to McAllen Solutions - a local computer services business.

Code: The site is coded using standard HTML and CSS. Nothin’ fancy.

Fonts: We decided to stick with the simple Helvetica family of fonts for our content. The top-nav and sidebar links are Verdana.
